O curso Inglês com Filmes é voltado a alunos a partir de níveis pré-intermediário, que desejam praticar conversação, sem deixar de lado compreensão auditiva, vocabulário e gramática.
A cada aula, assistimos a um trecho de filme e discutimos em cima do tema apresentado na história, praticando ainda outras habilidades com exercícios de compreensão e fixação.
Segue abaixo um exemplo de atividade com o filme Matrix (cena 8). Quem quiser o Answer Key, é só me pedir por email.
Before watching, discuss these questions with a partner:- Have you ever seen Matrix? What’s the story about?
- Who are the main characters?
- Have you heard about the story Alice in Wonderland? What do you know about it? Morpheus will compare the situation Neo is in to this story. Can you imagine why?
While watching the scene, answer these questions:
1 - What advice does Trinity give Neo?
2 - Does Neo believe in fate? Why (not)?
3 - Explain in your words what the Matrix is
4 - Explain in your words what will happen if Neo takes:
the blue pill ___________________________________________________
the red pill ____________________________________________________
5 - Which pill does he take?
6 - Why do you think he made this decision?
Now, discuss these questions in groups:
- If you were Neo, which pill would you take? Why?
- If you discovered our world is not real, would you like to know the truth or would you prefer to continue your normal life?
- Would you like to change something in our world? What would you change?
- And in your life, what would you like to change?
